This stands as the last article I am writing prior to either outcome materializing: our boat arrives in Gaza, or our craft is taken by Israel. We anticipate arriving around October 9th, having been navigating the waters from late September.

Recently, we saw the seizure conducted by Israel the crew members from the initial Global Sumud flotilla just before their scheduled arrival. This is likely the same moment at which Israeli authorities could endeavor to intercept our vessels representing our aid initiative.

Journeying During Uncertain Waters

Our second flotilla has continued sailing amid numerous accounts about what happened of the initial participants. As we navigated Cypriot waters, getting ready for overnight duty under the shadow of a mysterious flying object, we received news about Israel's unlawful seizure the primary aid vessels in international waters.

The following morning delivered troubling information during my regular activities: scrubbing eating utensils in the compact galley, reviewing communications repeatedly as Israeli forces methodically took the remainder of the flotilla.

This situation has simply enhanced our united commitment to persist in our journey.

Living Conditions Aboard

At this journey point, I've developed a pattern. My sleep schedule involves sleeping from 11pm to 2am, then handling nighttime monitoring through early morning, managing another two hours later completing five cumulative hours. Further sleeping becomes impractical amid rough seas and constant interruptions from shared accommodation.

My bed comprises a thin padding located atop the common furniture in the collective area. Each morning I dress inside my sleeping bag during morning beverage preparation in close proximity. Various elements of shared living alongside six fellow activists aboard a compact boat demand considerable adjustment.

The Mission's Purpose

The medical supplies and child feeding formula placed in the back section and cockpit area of our craft could save numerous lives provided we complete our mission. During a recent interview, someone suggested they viewed our mission as symbolic because prevention looked unavoidable.

Considered remotely, this reading may look credible. However, after sailing extended periods with relief supplies surrounding you constantly, aware of its exact placement, maintaining hope becomes essential for reaching those in need.

Expanding Beyond Assistance

Yet, providing supplies does not represent the mission's final objective. Officials often question regarding our refusal to let their handling of our resources. Aside from justified suspicion regarding actual delivery given prolonged restrictions, agreeing to these terms would implicitly acknowledge dominion regarding coastal areas.

Disturbing Developments

New details emerged concerning the initial activists: relocation to desert detention, designation as unlawful entrants regardless of compelled relocation from international waters. Information suggested refusal of fundamental requirements involving liquids, pharmaceuticals and nutrition, combined with humiliating conduct and periodic aggression by detention officers.

Current numbers showed 341 activists had been deported as multiple individuals continued confined.

Wider Perspective

These situations seem terrible yet they pale in comparison to the institutional mistreatment faced by Palestinian prisoners within the same facilities. Recorded instances involve deadly force leading to mortality lacking following responsibility regarding implicated staff.

Advocacy institutions have comprehensively chronicled widespread torture practices and assault occurrences throughout imprisonment locations. Although global attention about activists' circumstances continues appropriate and crucial, equivalent consideration proved missing regarding Palestinian hardship across generations of occupation.

Morning Reflections

Daily dawn I behold the boundless blue ocean and the setting golden satellite prior to following sunrise. This nautical liberty to travel enormous seas highlights the essential comprehension that our purpose exceeds assistance.

Palestinian freedom remains unrealized and our individual rights shall stay diminished until that freedom is attained. This fundamental truth illuminates our ongoing journey. The reasoning proves straightforward.
